Recruit and Retention Weekend

The Eagle Mills Fire Department will be having an open house on April 23 and 24th from 9-3 in conjunction with Recruit New York. The intent is to recruit new volunteer members to your local fire department.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be demonstrations on first responder equipment, fire extinguisher training, blood pressure checks and free hotdogs for all.
Sunday, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s department will conduct child safety seat installations and child Identification Photographs.
Rensselaer County’s smoke trailer will be there on Sunday as well. The smoke trailer is an aide for teaching children fire hazards and learn the importance of having fire drills at home.
